Here are some ideas of what you could cover with each year group. It's not set in concrete so don't feel that you have to do everything on the lists.
Some Math ideas
Go for a walk and see how many different types of leaves you can find.
Make up some playdough, (Recipe below) and do some fraction work. Divide your playdough ball into halves then quarters. How many quarters in one whole ball?

Keep reading as much as you can. You can use your school reading books or read your favourite books at home.
You can write all sorts of things from letters to your mum and dad, to poems about your adventures.
Practice reading out loud. You could talk about your special items with your family or you could act a play or recite a poem.
Reading
Go to the seesaw class app where you can find some assigned literacy activities.
Read your school reading book and have a discussion with mum or dad about what you have read.
Work on a reading activities work sheet which were given out in your packs. You can stick these completed sheets into your reading activities books.
Work on your sight words from your reading bag.
Writing
Write a letter to your grandparent or a family member. Tell them about what you have been doing to keep busy at home.
Ask mum or dad to write a sentence for you to copy. Copy out the sentence then try writing it again without looking at it. Cut up your sentence into words and mix them up. Put the sentence back together again in the right order.
Get a tray of items from around the house. Cover the tray and then get someone to take something away whilst you are not looking. See if you can work out what is missing. Now write down the item's name. Can you write a sentence using that word? For example: (three examples depending on Year level)
1. The pen was on the tray.
2. The blue pen was on the tray beside the pinecone. Mum took the pen off.
3. The blue sparkly pen was on the tray and now it's gone away. I think mum has used it to write the grocery list. I really hope she has added lollies on this week's grocery list. I will find out on Thursday when she brings all the bags home and drops them on the kitchen floor.
Speaking
Read out your letter to your family member.
Find a favourite book and tell someone what it is about using as much detail as possible.
Talk about your day with someone in your family or ring your friend or grandparent and talk to them about what you have been doing.
Video yourself reading a poem and post it on seesaw.
Here are some you tube counting songs that the children might enjoy. These are great for teaching counting and skip counting and are very useful to add some exercise into your daily routine. These will be added to each week.
Check out this education pack from Auckland Zoo. There are some great learning activities in here and they will change each week. Have lots of fun!
